The camera will allow viewers to follow the spawning of endangered lake trout in a WWF's Nature Live broadcast starting in October. Two years after the restoration project at Mämmenkoski, the aim is to see what's going on in the rapids. Mämmenkoski was chosen by WWF for the Nature Live programme because of its clear water.

The aim of the Mämmenkoski restoration project was to make it possible for fish to naturally migrate from Lake Kuhnamo to Lake Ala-Keitele, as well as to re-establish the possibility of natural fry production of lake trout in the rapids. "It's great that the camera will give the opportunity to see how the restoration project has affected the amount of lake trout in the rapids”, says Veli-Pekka Kyllönen, VP, Metsä Board Äänekoski.
