Metsä Board has published its Sustainability Review 2024, offering a comprehensive look at the company’s progress and achievements toward its ambitious sustainability targets. This is the second consecutive year the company has published its Sustainability Review, which is designed to offer a clear and structured account of how environmental and social responsibility are integrated into its operations.
“Sustainability is deeply embedded in Metsä Board’s strategy, and our Sustainability Review is about demonstrating our commitment to responsible business and the progress we’ve made in the past year,” says Anne Uusitalo, Director of Product Safety & Sustainability at Metsä Board. “Transparency builds trust, and by openly sharing our sustainability progress with all our stakeholders, we can help them make better-informed decisions."
Metsä Board’s sustainability efforts focus on key areas such as climate action, responsible resource use, and biodiversity protection, aligning its long-term business strategy with environmental responsibility.
In addition to the Sustainability Review, the company also published a Sustainability Statement as part of its Annual Review 2024 report. The Sustainability Statement provides detailed disclosures according to the new Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).
