The product range of MetsäBoard Prime FBB EB will now be expanded by the addition of a new basis weight, 350 g/m2 (23.6 pt) in line with customer needs. This will enable the extension of the application area to cover larger size packaging formats; for example, multi-packs of bakery products.
At the same time, the product specifications will be updated to further optimise the performance of the product. “With specification updates we are able to optimise the overall performance of the board, especially in converting and post-converting, based on user experiences over a wide range of packaging applications. The board thicknesses will remain unchanged”, says Antti Aronen, Product Manager.
The new, updated portfolio will cover the following basis weights: 200, 215, 225, 235, 250, 270, 285, 325 and 350 g/m2 (123, 132, 138, 144, 154, 166, 175, 200, 215 lbs/3000 sf).
