As its main product, our Lappeenranta sawmill produces high-quality pine sawn timber for various industries. Our pine sawn timber is an excellent choice for the woodworking industry. It is especially suitable for windows, doors, log houses, the woodworking industry, planed products, high-quality glulam solutions, finger-jointed wood, baseboards, heat-treated wood and solutions for the packaging industry.
We use Nordic wood, sourced from sustainably managed forests, as raw material for the sawn timber produced in Lappeenranta. We always know the origin of the wood we use.
We serve customers around the world, and around 70% of the Lappeenranta sawmill’s production is exported. Our solid expertise and close cooperation with customers ensure that our sawn timber offers the properties required by our customers. These include appropriate moisture content, weather resistance and aesthetic properties, as well as excellent dimensional stability and stiffness.
The Lappeenranta sawmill is an important employer in south-eastern Finland, both directly and indirectly. We cooperate regularly with local players, and annually support initiatives promoting the wellbeing of children and young people. Our cooperation with educational institutions in the region is active and diverse. Among other things, we offer summer jobs, traineeships and apprenticeship training, and participate in recruitment events organised by local higher education institutions.
