Metsä Timber Online service

Metsä Timber Online is a full-service online ordering platform that allows sawn timber customers to browse, order and trace products on any device. Customers can purchase sawn timber and find the best products for their needs.

The user-friendly Marketplace feature enables easy product collection and editing of delivery times and places. With the Track & Trace feature, customers can monitor their deliveries in real time. All order documents are saved automatically for later use.

Sustainability services

With Sustainability services, customers can easily ensure that the sawn timber they purchase is compliant with relevant regulations and produced sustainably.

The service also offers customers training and support in various responsibility areas, such as applying for certificates. A Metsä Experience visit gives customers the opportunity to learn about sustainable forestry, the origin of wood, various harvesting and regeneration methods, and sawn timber production at one of Metsä Fibre’s sawmills. Each Metsä Experience visit is tailored to the participating customers’ needs.

Technical Expertise services

Technical Expertise services help customers find sawn timber that best suits their product and boosts the performance and competitiveness of their business.

Timber Performance Analysis is a new service that combines process data from the customer with data from the mill that supplied their sawn timber. Modern data analysis techniques are used to identify ways to increase efficiency across the value chain and improve product quality.

Sawn timber customers also have access to the Metsä Learning Hub for online training.

Field services

Field services help sawn timber customers optimise their production processes. Metsä Fibre experts visit customers’ production plants to learn about their processes, machinery and equipment.

A close analysis of customers’ processes ensures maximum gains from sawn timber and helps identify potential areas for improvement regarding, for example, occupational safety.

Supply Chain services

Supply Chain services provide sawn timber customers with efficient, responsible and reliable sawn timber deliveries worldwide.

The service includes customer-specific supply chain planning from preparation to storage solutions.
