One of Metsä Fibre Oy’s Kemi bioproduct mill project suppliers, Virtor Oy, has filed a groundless bankruptcy application against Metsä Fibre Oy. Metsä Fibre has disputed Virtor Oy’s claims, and has itself significant financial claims against Virtor Oy in relation to the agreement between the parties concerning the Kemi bioproduct mill project. Metsä Fibre Oy will therefore demand the immediate rejection of the bankruptcy application in the competent court.
Metsä Fibre Oy’s financial position and solvency are very strong.
