Metsä Pine Bleached Softwood Kraft Pulp (NBSK)

Northern Bleached Softwood Kraft Pulp (NBSK) is a type of pulp made from softwood trees in the Nordic region by kraft process. We are the leading producer of Northern Bleached Softwood Kraft Pulp. Our Metsä Pine branded NBSK is produced at our bioproduct mills in Äänekoski and Kemi, pulp mills in Joutseno and Rauma, and Metsä Board’s mill in Husum, Sweden. All Metsä Pine pulp is made from high-quality Nordic pine (Pinus sylvestris) and spruce (Picea abies) sustainably sourced by Metsä Forest.

Our high-quality NBSK offering supreme paper strength

Nordic softwood has the unique characteristic of  possessing long fibres that contributes to better tensile strength, runnability and dewatering properties for the applications of paper end products. With Metsä Pine, we are committed to providing NBSK to our customers from the paper industry around the globe. We  make the most out of the raw material as well as the responsible production. The wood we use is traceable and comes from sustainably managed forests.
