Jatin Sethi (PhD in Process Engineering) was appointed as R&D Manager at Metsä Spring on May 1st, 2023. At Metsä Spring, Jatin will focus on R&D related to fibres and polymer technology. He will also support Metsä Group’s in-house Barrier Development Team and coordinate joint research projects within Metsä Group’s strategic R&D programmes. In addition, Jatin will also aid individual business areas on selected topics and Metsä Spring’s other endeavours.
Jatin has a wealth of experience in the R&D of different sustainable polymeric materials. In his previous positions, he has studied and developed high-performance paper-based packaging materials such as aluminium-free liquid packaging boards and transparent paper for food packaging.
Jatin is located in Espoo and reports to Katariina Kemppainen, SVP, Group R&D.
