Metsä Group's innovation company Metsä Spring makes an additional investment in the Swedish startup company Adsorbi. Metsä Spring has invested in the company for the first time in 2023.
In this funding round, Adsorbi receives a total of EUR 1 million in new financing. In addition to Metsä Spring, investment companies Chalmers Ventures and Jovitech Invest participated in the round. With the funding, Adsorbi will, among other things, build a pilot plant in Gothenburg.
Established three years ago, Adsorbi is a cellulose-based air purification material company. The unique biomaterial can be used, for example, in indoor air filters and deodorization products.

The plan for the company's next phase was very logical, and we are excited to support its implementation. Their development of a pulp-based new product makes them particularly relevant to Metsä Group’s mission.
