Metsä Spring portfolio company Fiberwood has secured EUR 7.7 million from existing equity investors and public financiers. The new funds will be used to set up a demo production line in Finland. It will be used to finalise Fiberwood’s product concept and to ensure industrial scalability of the production process. The demo production line will enable manufacturing of fully market-compatible products for customers' projects.
Fiberwood is a material technology company that upcycles forest industry side-streams to create new innovative building insulation materials. Fiberwood’s materials have been designed as an alternative to mineral wool and fossil based insulation.
