In the spirit of the season, I wanted to highlight our commitment to be the preferred partner in developing sustainable business, together with you. We are eager to continuously work to improve our industrial and material efficiency and increasingly utilise fresh fibre as our main raw material. We deliver these benefits to you, our customers, by our smart and efficient product and brand portfolio and the services delivered by our professionals in every market.
During the past years we have put strong focus on locally produced hygiene tissue paper products and directed investments into the modernisation of our operations at our mills around Europe. One example of this is our latest 100 MEUR investment plan for our Mänttä mill to strengthen Finland’s self-sufficiency in essential, locally produced hygiene tissue products. Furthermore, our expansion and modernisation investment in Mariestad, Sweden, is proceeding swiftly and in the second half of next year we will be able to serve our customers in Sweden and Scandinavia even better with our modernised production of Lambi, Serla and Katrin products. In the UK, our plans with the new tissue paper mill are proceeding and we are now in the pre-engineering stage.
In addition, we are also executing numerous development investments across the rest of our mill fleet in Europe to better serve our customers, and we are naturally continuously investing in our brand and product portfolio to grow in the markets together with you.
Our activities are rooted in sustainability, with a target for all our products to be manufactured from fully fossil-free raw materials by 2030. Through our investments we want demonstrate our commitment to this target.
