“Supporting children’s exercise is part of Lambi’s social responsibility. Through the collaboration, everyday products from sustainably managed Finnish forests become familiar to pupils in a way that suits their lifestyle. For Lambi, responsibility means taking care of the environment and producing tissue papers made of sustainable, renewable raw materials, but also contributing to something that benefits both current and future generations,” says Susanna Varsanpää, Marketing Director, Consumer, Nordics.
The cooperation is based on all three parties’ common wish to promote exercise among children and young people. Lambi and the Tennis Association provide the overall resources for the campaign, while the tennis clubs handle the practical arrangements with schools. Lambi supplies the equipment such as rackets and balls used at the events, and the local tennis clubs organise professional coaches for the schools. The Tour’s ambassador is Jarkko Nieminen, Finland’s most successful singles player of all time.
Jarno Tiusanen, Communication and Marketing Manager for the Tennis Association, is pleased that the Tour has finally reached children again after a year marked by the coronavirus. Events have already been organised from Hanko to Kittilä and from Seinäjoki to Joensuu.
“The coronavirus pandemic caused us problems, but then again, we accomplished brand new things like distance learning materials to help children with their training. Now we’re finally back to physical events. We’re very pleased to have Lambi as our partner in getting children to move and supporting their wellbeing,” says Tiusanen.
