Whether you are designing structures for walls, floors or ceilings, you may come across the same question: how much load does a beam of the structures withstand? To facilitate this, we have published new span tables for Kerto LVL products.
The ready-made span tables for Kerto LVL (laminated veneer lumber) products help designers to work faster and more efficiently. The tables describe the most common measurements according to local requirements for floor joists, headers and lintels. By using the tables, you can find the most optimal cross-sections for the structures of your project.
“We wanted to support design efficiency and structural optimization with the new span tables. The tables have been created to correspond to local ways of construction. When making the tables, we calculated on average 330 different combinations per country”, says Jussi Björman, Director of Technical Customer Service.
Kerto LVL is suitable as a load-bearing structure for buildings made of wood, steel and concrete. Its unique properties offer material efficiency and fast installation both for prefabrication production and on-site assembly.
Currently, sizing tables have been made to correspond to the country-specific construction methods of Finland, UK, Sweden, Germany and France.
