Metsä Group has started recruitment of more than 50 new multi-skilled experts for the production of Kerto® LVL at Metsä Wood's Punkaharju and Lohja mills. Recruitment is connected to the investments at the mills in recent years.
The future prospects for wood construction are good, and with the recruitment, Metsä Group prepares for the long-term strengthening of expertise in the industry and responds proactively to the need of new employees.

Our production operating model is based on employees’ multiple skills and teamwork, in order for the whole team to manage several different work tasks at our mills. The work is shift work,” says Reetta Lyytikäinen-Isonen, SVP, HR at Metsä Wood. "We are looking for people with the right skills, suitable educational background and desire to develop in their competence."
Suitable educational background for those chosen is vocational degree in technology or process industry, for example, in the wood industry, mechanical forest industry, forestry, maintenance or electrical and automation technology.
