The team provides instructions to employees on how to implement strict necessary safety measures. Responsible persons with coordination and supervision roles have been appointed at Metsä Group’s locations globally.
Metsä Group has taken the following measures to ensure the safety of our employees and partners:
- We follow and comply with the advice of the authorities.
- Actions to prevent the spreading of the virus at the workplaces are of utmost importance. These actions include washing hands thoroughly, staying at home if any kind of symptoms of illness appear and keeping distance to other people.
- Anyone feeling unwell will stay at home and do not come to work.
- All travel is avoided.
- Remote working from home has been implemented where possible in order to ensure safety and an uninterrupted operations.
- All visits to Metsä Group locations are restricted.
- Preventive actions are applied at all Metsä Group production sites with strict procedures in place which cover working arrangements, minimizing physical contact and ensuring good hand hygiene and cleaning regimes.
Metsä Group is producing e.g. pulp, paperboard and tissue papers that are these days particularly needed to promote hygiene, protect consumer goods and ensure consumer safety. There are contingency plans in place regarding different Metsä Group operations including e.g. production, sourcing and logistics to secure business continuity.
