The application period for Metsä Group’s summer jobs is now open. Next summer, we will offer a job to around 700 future talents in different areas of responsibility.

In the coming summer season, Metsä Group will hire summer employees for wood supply and forest services; sawmills and pulp, paperboard, tissue paper, Kerto® LVL and plywood mills; and various business and group services duties at the Espoo head office such as ICT, procurement and logistics, finance and technology.

Our summer jobs are available to people from diverse study backgrounds.

“Interesting and responsible summer jobs offer employees good opportunities to develop into top experts in their field and expand their professional networks. I believe Metsä Group’s commitment to the principles of regenerative forestry further underlines the significance of work,” says Pertti Hietaniemi, SVP, HR at Metsä Group.

A total of around 700 summer employees will be hired across Finland. Most of the jobs are at mills in production and maintenance, as well as in wood supply and forest services within procurement districts covering all of Finland.

Metsä Group offers each new employee a comprehensive onboarding, meaningful work tasks, an encouraging workplace community and fair wages that match each job’s requirements.

International traineeships also on offer

A few international traineeships will be offered to students of Finnish higher education institutions at Metsä Group’s mills in Germany and the finance service centre in Gdansk in Poland. As the employer, we will take care of the student’s travel and housing expenses during the 2–3-month international traineeship.

Metsä Group’s summer jobs are also available to international students. Many of our summer jobs are advertised in English, and these jobs do not require the applicant to speak Finnish.

The application period for Metsä Group’s summer jobs is open from 9 December 2024 to 14 February 2025. Learn more about the summer jobs we offer at www.metsagroup.com/careers/students-and-graduates/summer-jobs/
